MTN Lagos Fashion and design week

As official sponsors of the Lagos Fashion and Design Week, we bring to you with great excitement the show with a difference. It took place at Eko Hotel and Suites Lagos and graced the presence of so many designers and Fashionistas who came to either contribute or appreciate the designers as they show cased their works of art with models strutting the runway and taking poses.

The MTN LFDW, enriched with modern African flavor and culture, had designers like ‘JBL’ whose theme was vintage love and ‘MAKI’O" whose theme was nude fresh and dewy on the runway. This , was interpreted into makeup done professionally by our Makeup artists on the models.

The uniqueness of this event, was in line with House of Tara unique values hence our participation in the show is expected because, where there is promotion of African culture, ethnicity and future forward fashion, there in lies, House of Tara.

HOUSE OF TARA AND MISS NIGERIA

MY MISS NIGERIA EXPERIENCE BY VIVIENNE JIM

Hi, I’m Vivienne Jim. I’m sure you are wondering if I was a contestant in the Miss Nigeria pageant, too bad I wasn’t but the great news is that I was there live!

I am a Makeup artist with House of Tara and I am going to share this wonderful experience with you. The Miss Nigeria pageant as we all know is a highly respected and long awaited beauty pageant that is known for promoting and encouraging the good values of the African culture.

Yes there were 37 contestants who were in camp at the Hotel le Meridian in Uyo fortwo weeks and at Eko Hotel and suites Lagos for the grand finale.

As a trained House of Tara Professional, I was able to handle the makeup of these contestsants, the presenter and the most elegant chief Mrs. Nike Oshinowo. I did this on a daily basis for two weeks and I was so on point thanks to good products such as the House of Tara range, Mary kay and Blackup. I had good results when I applied my good skills.

I also groomed and shaped their eyebrows when they weren’t shooting as well as encouraged them to do a little basic makeup so that I can build on that when TARARIZING them.(lol)

I came out a winner, even though I didn’t contest because at House of Tara, it is a win win situation.
